PrestaShop
A PHP store lighter than Magento.
PrestaShop asks for far less than Magento: PHP and MySQL, no separate search service. A small store runs on 2 GB and 4 GB is comfortable. What weighs most is not the catalog but the modules: each one adds queries, and an install with twenty active modules performs worse than one with twice the products. Template caching helps more than upgrading the plan.

Operational tips
- Before upgrading the plan, check how many modules you have active.
- Enable the Smarty template cache in production.
- The PHP version matters: 8.1+ performs noticeably better than 7.4.
- Product images are most of the disk; serve them through a CDN.
